we counted last weekend, and she can say (without prompting other than 'what's that?') over 100 words. this week seemed to add a million more.
when nursing, olive lately has stopped to look at me and say whatever is on her mind-- then goes right back to nursing--
nap today: 'wiwee, elibbibib, yurk!' (wiley, elizabeth, york---repeatedly)
last night: 'a b c'
night before: 'cominggg, goinggg, comingggg, goingggg'
she also will say anything we do-- we were listening to a new album (well, online) and i said, 'rock and roll, olive!' so she started rocking from side to side saying 'ROCK! ROLL! ROCK! ROLL!'
she already knows rock -as in rock on the ground, and rock in the chair/on the glider, and now she knows rock's third incarnation! she also started playing drums on the table when the drums had a particularly clear drum fill. she takes her drumsticks and plays on a jimbe that's just the right height for her usually.
other words from this weekend of note: noni (pepperoni), yo dude (yeah, it means 'yo dude' and it's often 'yo yo yo yo'), doll, on, off, siiide (for outside or inside), slide, swing, sandbox, pitza (pizza), patsta (pasta) and every single person small and big that she goes to school with (our favorite is BEK-AAAAH! said with enthusiasm).
